Someone submitted this counter-strike review to PC Playground. I do not view it as a fair review of the game, so thus I will not post it in the review sections. I do however believe that some of you will find it worth the read.
The reviewer gave the game a score of 1 (the lowest). Here it is (unformatted & unedited)... Quote:

Perhaps a bit overemotional, but the petite' fills has a point, am afraid to say it. If a game has the power to make people act that way, then there is reason for hating it. When my grandmother died, I was sick with griefe, if i had stayed home just to play a video game, I would have shot myself in the forhead without hesitation. Life is important, gamea are just entertainment. However, that game is not always responsible for young ones to cause violence as terrorists or otherwise. This is my take on it. |

i agree, CS consumes lives... and not the same way that Diablo 2 did..... it does it in a more cycnical, evil way.
its half life mods, everyone is in the craze, even though the game is old and in my opinion buggy shit. (i hate the damn "bugs on my nugs") well anyway people are obsessing over some stupid old game that isnt too cool anyway... I liked Quake, it was l33t, its old now but still fun to go back and playit, but it DOESNT CONSUME MINE OR ANYONE ELSES LIVES. yeah, sometimes people's emotions are in a state of disproportion, or unbalancedness. the simple idea of shooting people in a game can be taken too far seriously and you might have some sort of (in extreme -rare- cases) episodal issue (but still commonly an issue, nonetheless). "fingerbang. bang, bang. fingerbang bang. bang bang bang. i wanna fingerbang-bang you into my life, girl i wanna fingerbang into night." -Southpark episode 409, "Fingerbang" |

the guy who rote that review has never played CS, i assume.
He hates CS for taking away his friends, when all his friends are doing is making new friends! CS is a multi-player game, and therefore gives people the opitunity to intract with other people, not only over the internet, but at LAN cafes, etc. he says he never goes to parties anymore, why not host a LAN party! games are not directly related to violence, people who are going to kill are going to anyway, and those that don't, arn't going to do so, just because they do it in a game, all the game does is make it "fun" to kill, this is not the games fault, but societies, for not educating kids on what happens when u kill.
