Default Trail Everquest

I love Everquest. Its very addicting(4 year player). I have been playing EQ forever. Half the time its all thats on my mind. Ofcourse along the way you wanna be the best and stuff. So I found a site called EQEmu.net

Basically its an emulator. By far its not the best and a whole lot of rules dont apply like they would on the real thing. If you can find everquest.exe off of kazaa. download it and put it in a folder like C:\Everquest. Open that file and it will patch the entire original everquest(excluding the expansions). Goto the eqemu site and download EQEmu patcher. now patch the files for the emulator to that folder. I would explain how to do it in more detail but its a bit lengthy. Just check out that site and read up on some stuff. Hope this helps heh. If you want me to mail you everquest.exe or anything just tell me.

Instead of connecting to Verrant's/Sony's Servers you connect to a server made by others. Keep in mind its still buggy and nothing compared to the original. Its just a fun way to play the game without the fee =)

For those of you that already have EQ check out the emu.

goto http://http://prdownloads.so...6;exe?download and download the emu patcher.

Locate and open Eqhost.txt in your EQ directory and change the data to
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin2.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin3.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin.eqemu.net:5999"
}

Run the patcher and have fun playing on the emu =) Maybe ill see you their. I play on the GuildWars server(something the developers of EverQuest didnt think of)
