I think I might have a virus or "something" tied to my AIM, as I am unable to warn people unless they were the one to initiate the conversation. I have uninstalled / reinstalled AIM twice. Also, I get the "you are logged in from 2 locations" message alot - however I think this is due to my music sharing program (Bearshare) sucking system resources, bandwidth, and perhaps infringing on the port AIM uses for a connection. Anyone have any clue as to what the hell is going on? :x

okay...

the "logged infrom 2 locations" message can come up if your connection is cut for a second and you briefly disconnect from aim and it autoreconnects. either that or you (or someone else) is logged in at a second location.


the warn problem,
the thing about warning others is that you can only warn them when they talk to you. this is universal for everyone on aim. you can talk to them all you want, but you can only warn them for each time they respond.
as you talk to them, they can warn you (since you sent them a message).

oh yeah and you can warn or be warned as a result of away message autoresponses.
if they talk back to you and you still cant warn them, then maybe its a bug or something, but this is typically the answer.

The warn problem happens with Trillian but thats becuz they havent worked on that for free peoples...
