i knew there were so many out there because freebsd and linux and junk are all free to edit... so people download them and edit them, creating their own... i too, however, am scared to test them

You will be amazed at how many OS exist. Though there are only really like 20 OS (not counting variations of it) that are used in the masses.

its not that much more... most of these are just *nix...its not like theres that many *different* OS

I hate windows as much as the next guy (when ever i get some stupid error)...but the fact remains that I trust it alot more than I would some OS made by Bob in the garage of his parents' house. Though...I've grown up with windows...so I've grown accustomed to it.

Really though, it comes down to YES windows has alot of errors...but its still one of the best OS's out there. :-\

i totally agree... its reasonable that some people dont like windows, but more and more i see these stupid little kids saying "WINDOZE SUCKS!" and having nothing but trying to to act "cool" to back up their claim. i personally think windows 2000 is one of the best OS out there. arguing about windows vs linux is like the ever controversial argument of VHS vs beta... just cause betamax is technically better, does not make it a better product. refer to this link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/commen ... 80,00.html

I think the main thing about the whole anti-microsoft thing is that people see bill gates and how rich he is and they are just jealous. For example, all the people that say "MICROSOFT SUCKS! THEY ARE A MONOPOLY!" and crap like that when they don't know the facts.

I say, Bill Gates earned his money! Leave the man alone. (Yes id punch him if I had the chance ;-)...but that has nothign to do with him being bill gates...i just wanna say I punched a celeb)

he does suck though... because i remember a time when they just put on there new premium hotmail accounts and for us free accounts we had a attachment limit of 1024kb (i think) and after a while i noticed they lowerd it to 500 something to make you sign up for the premium accounts! I think alot of people complained because they changed it back.. also ever since they added the premium thing they just all of a sudden put up for free accounts that they would shut it down in 30 days if you didn't log in and it says "Get the premium account so you don't have to worry about losing anything" Thats an example on how sad microcock oops.. i mean microsoft is!
