well my suggestion was for you to go with nphp.. unless theres a specific reason why you wanted newspro. with nphp you can also have users post things, you can have moderators, admins or just news posters. sorry i cant help with the newspro tho, i havent tried it :?

perl was located here: /usr/bin/perl and your install doc should tell you what to do with that... and to CHMOD all you got to do .. will i don't know what FTP client you got but in mine i just left click and chmod it to what ever code it's asking...

Default Interesting

Please let me know if you find your answer. I have been working on my first cgi install, following every step, checking and double checking, and I too get sent to "404.php". I think I must have done something wrong, but it is interesting that you know what you're doing, and you are still having trouble. Is anyone else having trouble using their cgi-bin?

i installed newspor once... it wasnt hard... i do, however think that Greymatter is a bitch to install... For php news scripts, i recommend B2 (cafelog.com) i also heard that for cgi/perl news scripts tat coranto is good... FusionPHP is good too... there are a lot of good coders out there
