I am probably being really dumb but when you upload the .tar of php nuke how do you extract it, my ftp program wont let me and i cant use IE for some reson. I have had to extract it from my computer up to the site which takes AGES! i am kinda hopeing i wont have to do that with all the other .tar's i have for the site.

Whats the easyer way becuase there must be one?

I had to do it before, but without the 14k modem... even with my internet connection it took forever cuz theyre all lots of small files. When you have all those small files, you can see the scale go from slow, to fast, but since it finishes uploading it only stays at a slow pace for each file. Oh well I got it over with now.

Ok, well i have uploaded it but it is really screwey, i dont own the server so i cant initate the linux functions it tells me to do:

mysqladmin create nuke

mysql nuke < nuke.sql

Then it tells me to go to http://yourdomain.com/admin.php
So i go to http://mydomain.pcplayground.com/admin.php
and it complains that it doesnt exist, the only admin.php is in html/ so i go to:
http://mydomain.pcplayground.com/html/admin.php

and then it tells me that it cant be displayed.
What am i doing wrong?
more like what should i do to get it working?

head to nukecops.com they have a php script that you upload to your site that will install all of the mysql tables and whatnot. also, check with tommy to see that you have mysql set up for your account. as for the admin.php vs html/admin.php, the files in the html dir that you got with your nuke d/l are all of the actual nuke files needed to run nuke. so html/admin.php is the file you want. you might check to see if it is chmoded correctly. you also might try providing us with your actual subdomain, since that can sometimes help with stuff like this. :)
