Default New Site - Need Designers, Coders, and Affiliates
Here's the deal:

I wanted to start a community for the underground bands in Connecticut to get together and also post their bios and media for visitors to download. This way they get more coverage.



The DB will ultimately include:
  • Bios[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Music News[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Venue Listings[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Show Calendars[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Photos[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Lyrics[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Mp3s[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • Forums[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • POSSIBLY Video Files[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • EXTREMELY POSSIBLY Hosting for the bands' sites[/*:m:1tcae46d]
  • And anything else I start to think of.[/*:m:1tcae46d]


The problem is that I'm nowhere nearly as good at php and mysql and other languages as I'd like to be. I've found hosting and have started designing a portal/phpNuke-esque layout. I want to write (with lots of help) a database that will allow bands to register their names with a band photo, logo, bio, audio samples, etc... If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Why dont you use something like Post Nuke, http://www.postnuke.com
And a few file upload mods.

because i dont want to... i want to write my own...
