With the recent server problems, it looks like we are going to have to replace the harddrive. We have allready replaced the memory, and this is the next step. The Planet (our datacenter), will install and image the new drive from the old, then replace it. The problem with this, is that the server will be down when this happens.

I believe that it is better than the alternative or potential dataloss if the drive fails.

I believe this will start about 1:00am EST. This will be later in the evening for most of the US, and will be early in the morning for most of Europe.

I am sorry that we have to do this, but hopefully, this will resolve the issue.

Ok, we have scheduled a primary harddrive swap at 2:00 am central. This will make it midnight or later in the US and early morning for Europe. This is the time when the server has the least traffic, so we picked that.

It may take 3 hours, but this should make for more extended uptime like we have become use to on this server.

I hope everyone understands.

There was a small datacenter issue last night and this was not done. This will happen this evening starting at 0300 EST.

oh well. i still doubt that ill notice it :P
