If youre ever in the mood, try looking up an interview with manson about the columbine shootings... a lot of people were like "manson made them do it"... i know i already said this, but he's just so smart...

he's the man, even if i never listen to him anymore and have moved onto more folk music type stuff...

No offense, but you are just part of the system. Death metal and black metal and all that just preys on the hormonal stage that every teenage (usually male) person goes through. This is why you say the music "speaks to you"...it's because it just mimics the emotions you are naturally having.

Now...hard rock is good..beats and what not...but the music that is just like "Fuck you fuckers and fuck your mom" and the singer tries so desperately to sound like some sort of demon...I think that stuff is just retarded.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

just like you said... it's about your current mood or current place in life...

in like sixth grade i was listening to KoRn and Manson and that stuff, but 4th grade was Hanson and Spice Girls...

now i have no real distaste for any 'type' of music. it's just what im in the mood for... i still listen to both korn and hanson, but im also listening to the shins and wilco and herbie hancock and just... everything....

that's good... i think one of the main reasons i started listening to manson and korn and those bands was because it was "cool" to do so. they curse and piss off parents, so its 'cool'

also. I didnt mean to sound like "oh, everyone goes through that korn stage" i just meant for me it was a stage... i still have their cds that i originally bought and time to time i listen to them...

I can't stand rap or country. I'm surprised "country" is considered cool heh. I thought I was in redneck ville too...
I'm an all rocker guy here. I don't really like Marilyn Manson though :(
