Everyone who loves movies watches the Oscars. But this year, it had the lowest ratings in a while.

Now, let's not get into the anti-war speeches, as I'm quite sure there are enough people who feel strongly enough about that subject to start a fire bigger than the Aussie wild fires.

So I'm just talking about the films, and that is the subject for this thread. Chicago stole the show, but I don't think it deserved it...

What do the rest of you think about this years Oscars?

Oscars get worse every year.

I dont like the Oscars, nothing but a bunch of rich snobbs getting awarded for their job.

I love movies (Especially planet of the apes) but I don't watch the oscars...

That's because the movies get worse everyyear.

When the oscars were made in the begenning...movies were like..amazing and stuff...not so many special effects :) but the movies were classics...

Now look..dumb and dumberer (which wouldn't be so bad if it was actually the real people), glitter, and a new "I'm black, so I must be funny if I say 'yo dog' and make fun of white people" movie every other week.

Movies are going to the crapper. lol. It's only every now and then when an awesome movie, or a few awesome movies, hit the screen.

Lol, I mean...I don't like the awards show either...but I don't think my reasons would ever cross the path of not liking the show because I think they are snobbish...they are actors...and dramatic people...but just because of that...they aren't all snobs.
