i did the registry key, but it dun werk! damn...


we're talking about setting windows to automatically login to the account versus manually, and how to set it to auto login. read the above posts.

You can also use turn on automatic logon without editing the registry in Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition and in Microsoft Windows XP Professional (not joined to a domain). To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type control userpasswords2, and then click OK.
In the dialog box that appears, click to clear the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box, and then click OK.

ok i tried it and it gave me some error about the password, and it actually showed the administtrator login page. well thanks!

Ditto here. Thanks to the guy that posted the regedit keys. That's what I needed to know. PS, that method works on Win2k just fine.
