I know we have some users who use linux for their desktop.

What version are you running and why?

I used to run Mandrake, and only because that is what came with my linux book. However, I do not run linux on my desktop anymore. :?

well, i duel boot on my other computer (which is on the list for a motherboard transplant hoapfully shell live that long) between *cough*win98*cough* and Mandrake Linux 9.0 i use win98 for all the commercial programs that have not been ported to linux yet, and i use Mandrake for programming, ect, and i like the little penguin logo... it is the easyist distro to install, and has the most support, but as of this date red hat is catching up, but they need to stick with what they are best at, Servers.

I have 2 harddrives. One with RedHat8 and the other with WindowsXP. I use RedHat whenever I can. I love it's stability. You have total control over the OS. The only time I use Windows is when I use popular programs that need Windows.

Just curious shiz, how often do you use Windows then compared to Linux?
