Default Red Had Experts?

I am thinking about purchasing my own dedicated red hat 7.2 server.

But, I am not too familiar with anything relating to red hat (or any other server OS). Is there anyone here who would be willing to help me out if I got this server?

ive only ever used red hat for a desktop OS and i wasnt too wise on it!! I broke the computer very quickly!

i have a question though, if you were to transfer the data to this dedicated server, would we loose all our stuff again? if so, i need to start making a backup now :p - pesky 56k... lol

cheers,
tom

1st off, you should always make a backup.

2nd off, I am not just going to switch it over and say good bye to everyones data.

3rd off, IF I do get this server, I will notify you guys in advance if moving your stuff (subscribe to the news letter).

4th off, I will attempt to move all your stuff.

5th, I will probably keep this server for a while after I move to the new one, so just in case anything goes wrong, I still have this one with all the files.

Though, since this is a dedicated server, I get more power and whatnot, but it also means more responsibility.

I am not sure if I will even move pcplayground to the server.

Redhat should come with httpd , php and mysql, just tell the installer to install em. You can install a x winodws and a gui if you think it will be easier. Redhat has some frontends for httpd and server thingys.
