Tommy, mah man -- is it possible to get ye to install the DBD::mysql module?

And are ye running under cgiwrap or suexec?

I have no idea what you were talking about in this thread.

What is a MySQL module? The site is based off of modules, so I assume you are referring to something with the linking system.

CGIwrap is a wrapper for CGI, and this site is in PHP, so no we do not use CGIwrap.

What is suexec? No we do not use that.

Tommy had answered this question in another thread. He said "The people who house the server would like me to limit installation", or something of that sort.

Hmm, my bad. Perhaps I should have been more spesific. The DBD::mysql is a perl module needed for using MovableType with mySQL support. If not using mySQL one need the DB_File module (also something to do with perl).

If you can't install either of them, that's fine. But I had to ask :)

Also, just while I'm at it. What's the correct path to perl on this server?

I hoper this cleared things up a bit.

This question/answer has been added to the FAQ I am building up.

The path to perl is "/usr/bin/perl" (without the quotes).
