Just use common sense.

Dont go around opening up a bunch of .exe files, they may have trap doors. Dont do stuff that will expose your computer. Most times hacking comes through the mistake of the user, not the server.

If your unsure about your pc's security, go to http://www.grc.com. The guy that runs it has lots of free goodies and info that maybe useful. Such as security checkers and patches and stuff.

There maybe some stuff for webmasters too, better check it yourself. I havent been there much lately.

[edited] Wierd that a hacker would openly admint that he will be hacking you, at least before he hacks you. Maybe he is just making threats, but its always better to be safe than sorry.
