How do I set them up, with an A record for NS1.domain.com point to my IP?

IMPORTANT NOTE: Registering your personlised nameservers is a totally SEPARATE act than assigning them to your DNS info for your domain names. If you chose to have personalised nameservers on your account, you need to register them first and then when they are registered, you use those personalised nameservers to edit your DNS info for your domains so as to point to your account on our servers.

When you received your Account Activated email, you will notice that we have assigned 2 nameservers to your account with their corresponding IP addresses, such as:

If you have a domain name, you will need to process the DNS changes.
Please change the domains nameservers to the following.

ns1.domainname.com 123.123.123.123
ns2.domainname.com 123.123.123.124


Note: the above nameservers and IP addresses are just examples. Use the IPs and nameservers that came with your welcome email.

The following are the steps you need to take to start using those nameservers with your main domain and all your client's accounts:

Register your reseller nameservers at your domain registrar.

Go to your registrar and look for "register nameservers" page. Follow the instructions. If registering fails with error "could not verify IP addresses" or similar, try again the next day. Also note that registering nameservers doesn't mean registering a new domain, you are basically just letting the DNS databases know that there are some services with individual names connected to your domain name. (Registering nameservers will not cost you anything).

If you don't find this option at your registrar's website, please contact them and ask them where to register your own nameservers with the nameserver info that you received in your Account activated email.

I believe WHM has a simple way of doing it.

I am running WinXP. I don't have any control panel, just do everything manualy, Can I do it with BIND?
