Default Allowed File Types?

I have been trying to upload a viewer.exe file which I use to troubleshoot with people across the world.

However when they try to download it says they don't have permission.

Even I can't download it!

Why can we upload exe files to our ftp?

What files are allowed?

What files are banned?

Can this please be changed to allow exe's?

Its not like you can fit a CD or anything on an 200MB FTP anyway?

.exe's are not banned.

What is your subdomain?

Default Yeah me too...........................

Tommy,

I always thought you could upload and download exe's but apparently not.

I checked mine a I get a:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /downloads/vnc/vnc-3.3.7-x86_win32.exe on this server.

ERROR MESSAGE!

See http://csn.pcplayground.com/downloads/vnc/ for the exe files. They are freeware files used for virtual network computing so they are legal but they don't download.

Please help,

Matt

Just zip the files.

I'm glad someone else has the same problem!

Is there anyway that you can fix this?

Perhaps in a .htaccess file?

Thanks anyway.

.exe, .com, .bat are not permitted.

No, modifying the .htaccess would not help.
