· What is the path to perl?
The path to perl is "/usr/bin/perl" (without the quotes).

· What is the full path for my CGI files?
/home/pcplay/public_html/YOUR_SUBDOMAIN/cgi-bin

IE:

/home/pcplay/public_html/bob/cgi-bin would be for bob.pcplayground.com

Allright, call me a total N00b and I'll accept it, BUT I am so lost and on a schedule at that... :(

I am transferring a YaBB forum from a too unstable server. But I just can't get the thing to work!

I get this when tryin to enter my cgi-bin: "You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

I need to know the entire URL for where I can put my cgi files... I am right, aren't I? I can't just put a cgi folder anywhere....?

I just don't understand the /home/pcplay/public_html/YOUR_SUBDOMAIN/cgi-bin bit...

Do I need to set up these folders in my subdomain? what the hell is a "full path?!?!"

Please, talk to like I was 4 years old... this is rediculous :x HELP!

What I don't get is what I do with that path...

I'm using SmartFTP.

What is the url to that then? http://www.pcplayground.com/home/pcplay/"mysubdomain"/www/cgi-bin?

Do I make a folder with a path of "mysubdomain/www/cgi-bin" and then upload the cgi files to the cgi-bin part?

My last host just had me make my own bin... :( "mysubdomain/cgi-bin" - now THAT I could understand :D

You already have a cgi-bin when you open smart ftp you will see it as "/cgi-bin/"

What exactly are you looking to know?

You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server.
