Well backing the db will be difficult. I do know that you can only reach the db through the 'localhost' that means it is not possible to reach it from an external source (your pc is an external source).

im worried - im on 56k and cant backup becoz...well...im on 56k!!!

ahhg!last time this happened no files were lost so im not toooo worried...but still...i kind of have a backup elsewhere on the net.

Well don't worry I still think no files will be lost. I'm just saying ppl to back up because you never know what may happen. There is a change that there is really maintance on the server. And that may (VERY SMALL CHANGE!) give probs.

Well as I know, there are no (exta) limitions for free hostings. You should be able to send mails.

Arghhhh, its still down. I really wish it was up and running! My fansite forum is down and everyone (over 50 people so far) have emailed me asking why the site is down and when it will be up.

is there any prediction on how long the sites will be down?
