just a few issues.
the file size isnt all that matters. there are also any images you have in the file, but you have you account for the fact that some people will view with text only browsers. you also have the issue that some computers are set to view the file with images from a temp. folder if it is reloaded. some don't. there is also data sent as part of your bandwidth, which means if a person posts on a message board or fills out a form, etc. that counts toward your bandwidth. that bandwidth is variable on what data is entered. the idea of calculating that information manually as it is consistantly updating as your site is viewed means that the data you collect is out of date before you have finished calculating it. and im not even gonna get into the fact that some counters dont count duplicate hits. its a nice idea in theory though. |

Ok, there is pretty much no website on this server that uses anywhere close to the 5 GB monthly limit. The closest one uses around 1 gig a month. Most of the sites here use under 100 MB a months. Do not worry about the limit, if your site is legal, and you dont have files over 100 MB (you are allowed to though) then you wont even get close to the limit. Well, that is, on most occassions.
Drawback, your site has used 2.36 MB in Feb. so far, just to give you an idea of the bandwidth amounts. |
