use both

Torrents are good but it depends on the number of seeds.

The more seeds the faster it is

yeah, i always uploaded faster than my downloads... even with the hacked torrent, even though that was an improvement.

i'd upload at my maximum speed of 15 kb/s and download at like 1 kb/s, holy fuck that sucked.

it all depends on how many people seed... i too have had 1kbps downloads, but one time i got a steady 180kbps :D dl'ed 150mb file in matter of minutes

Well in Torrents.. The Person who is seeding can see the ips he is giving too. So its not so security safe.

And in irc people can always DNS each other..

But Luckily its not being attacked yet.
