Default News Scripts

With Tommy's help i have managed to setup a forum for my page.
i was just wondering.... i wanted to have a section on my webpage where i can post the latest news or headlines from news sites like here on pcplayground. At the moment, i have to edit the index html page to paste any news update. Is there a way of having a script which i could place on my website so that i could simply login as admin then simply paste any news like here at pcplayground?

Well this site uses a far more complex news portal, phpnuke, another alternative would be postnuke.. but these are more content management. if you just want a simple blog/news posting system, go with something like nphp (http://www.nphp.com), newspro (???), fusion (http://www.fusionphp.com), and etc. those are some of my suggestions, but go ahead and check out the scripts on the site sniperx provided. (its one of my fav sites heh)

that link is to PHP-based content managers (news posters)

newspro, greymatter, and coranto are all CGI/Perl, but the PHP ones are easier to install and config. Go to that link and choose something....

I'm working on my own little news script for phpBBB, so if you're using phpBB, wait and I'll have this released before long.

Ty SniperX, Well parry 60, i'm using phpbb so it would have been good to have a news script for the site compatible with the forum. As xero said, The script of pcplayground.com is probably the best i have ever seen. ty all for ur feed back on this issue
