Default ATTENTION!! FOLLOWING IS A RANT!

Well, hello all you fine people at pcp... It's been awhile since I've posted here on the forums. But I'd like the chance now to sort of explain my rationale on my lack of participation. And (this is sorta directed to tommy :-)) realize the fact that the pcp forums aren't the only one I am not posting in, there are numerous forums that I just simply stopped posting in, and eventually, simply stopped visiting. With the relative popularity of the pcp forums and all, I believe it is here that exemplifies the point I'm trying to make. Let me further explain.

I have chosen to stop posting in the forums because, simply, there's nothing worthy to post about. Now I'm not exactly sure, but by the looks of the different topics I'm skimming through, I so believe that these topics are simply not worth replying to. Don't get me wrong, I think these are perfectly fine for an off topic forum or whatnot, but as with most forums I've been to, it's not very fun when it gets off hand

PCP has great potential; it is a wonderful site, which I think provides a wonderful service. The forum is excellent, in my opinion, partly because there is a large user base. A forum cannot live without its users. It saddens me to see this potential go to waste as users talk about (forgive my aggressive choice of words here but?) useless crap. 'PC Playground,' by the name of it, seems to me like a technology-based website, with its news dealing with the topic as well. Now I think the forum as well should deal with this sort of thing as well. And although I have not been coming here much at all lately, I can safely assume that not MUCH meaningful discussions have been in progress. PCP forums have become a chatroom. A bloody chatroom.

Chatrooms are chatrooms. Forums are forums. These are two different things. When people start using forums as a means for a slower paced chatrooms, the result is a loss of the true essence of forums.

Now forgive me if I'm merely targeting this pcp forums here, but I thought it would be suitable partly due to its success (more or less). I can post this rant on any other forum that I used to go to. Well either ways, I just wanted get that point across. And P.S. your doing a good job Tommy, keep up da good work!
