Scince most of us here and the visitors intrested will probably be webmasters of all levels there should be an HTML tutorial. Dreamweaver, frontpage, mozilla/netscape web maker thingys etc. could be in:
a) Basic webdesign tutorial
Instead of 3d max, photoshop and whatever try this:
B) 3D Software
C) 2D Software
3D Software should include the countless 3d software specific programs (Max, maya, XSI, Lw, hudini, blender, wings, etc...) I can help out writting tutes on this scince im making tutes for max, blender, maya etc for my site soon. I coukd just copy and paste stuff. Most of my tutes (and most good oness out there) will be software independent anyway so it wont fit on a specific 'Max category'.
2D could have GIMP, Photoshop, Paintshop pro, etc. People could also put tutes on whatever 2d imaging software they are using scince it's not defined particularly to any software.
Flash would be somewhat in between 3D and 2D graphics scince its vector graphics but mostly it is used mainly for 2d like images. It could fit on:
D) 'Advance webdesign tutorials'
People using VRML, Flash, Swift3d, Blends, Plasma etc... and other other types that need embedding and special plugins to view.
E) Server-side Programming
F) Software programming
(Serverside = could include cgi, php, java etc)
(Software programming = There maybe 12542 programming languages around but if , for example, only one person writes a tute on Python then more categories will surely complicate things more than it should. Mostlikely youl get just one or two representative from an exotic programming language while get bilions of c++ and c. In that case, and if thats the trend, you could have a new category:
G) C++ programming
H) Hardware
Looks fine. Overclocking, building new pc's, case mods and whatever.
Now the big thing to worry about: Wont this tute section vonflivt with um...
The Nerdhelp website? LOL.
