I think we must all admit that overall, Sony makes some amazingly good quality electronics.

This article only talks about the game console. Well, weren't there problems with other systems too?

I personally didn't experience any problems with my game consoles.

Game consoles I've gone through, all of which haven't had any real problems:
Playstation 1
Sega Dreamcast (mad props)
Playstation 2
Nintendo Gamecube (Problems: Peanut-butter and Jelly on the game controller, scratches on unit, 'open' button on the drive bay doesn't pop back up all the time. This thing was refurbished.)

I have heard problems with the Nintendo Gamecube 'overheating' or something.
I've heard of a defect with the playstation 2's dvdrom tray making a lot of noise.
I've heard endless complaints about Microsoft's Xbox.
