don't make your own heating cream.
if you want some good thermal compound, go buy a tube of arctic silver, but that probably won't make
too much of a difference from other heating compounds.
Always remember to spread the heating compound to a thin layer; too thick will actually prevent some heat transfer.
so your laptop is overheating? are you sure those are all of the problems? are any fans dead? are there dust bunnies in there?

One person suggested that he propped up his laptop on a triangular ruler.
