don't make your own heating cream.

if you want some good thermal compound, go buy a tube of arctic silver, but that probably won't make too much of a difference from other heating compounds.

Always remember to spread the heating compound to a thin layer; too thick will actually prevent some heat transfer.

so your laptop is overheating? are you sure those are all of the problems? are any fans dead? are there dust bunnies in there?

I see that some companies sell [url=http://www.3dcool.com/Products.asp?id=41:2j2dazdy]laptop cooling products[/url:2j2dazdy], which seem pretty dumb, and a waste of money. Theyre just fans that connect to the USB port for power.

One person suggested that he propped up his laptop on a triangular ruler.

The best for the money is the triangle ruler I place at the rear of my laptop to tilt it up and lift it up to allow more air to get through. From 99 cents and up.
